2011 April PAD Challenge: Day 10

Click on the above header to read more great poems...

For today's prompt, write a never again poem. Maybe you'll never again fall in love or never again tell a lie. Or maybe, just maybe, you'll never again not write a sestina.(Like that? It's a double negative.)

This poem is written about the loss of my grandson's father who was killed tragically 7 months ago without our knowledge.

Never Again
Never again will he see
your face...
You're no longer in this place.

Never again will he call
your name...
You're no longer in the game.

Never again will he hear
your voice...
You're no longer here by choice.

Never again will he have
a father...

I like this poem, hon. Very sad, though, but it does get the word across about the loss of a loved one. Very good poem; well written.
