Blog Action Day #PowerOfWe

Founded in 2007, Blog Action Day brings together bloggers from different countries, interests and languages to blog about one important global topic on the same day. Past topics have included water, climate change, poverty and food with thousands of blogs, big and small, taking part.
in 2012, Blog Action Day will be held on October 15. This year our theme is the Power of We.

This is the second year I've had the honor of participating in Blog Action Day.

'The power of we'.... this statement can mean anything. The power for communities to take back their city from crime, drugs and violence, the power for parents to get involved in their children's lives, the power for churches take action and help others.

But today I want to talk about the POWER OF WE as a whole for our nation.

"WE THE PEOPLE of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

The preamble to the United States Consititution does not say I, it says WE THE PEOPLE. The presidential election is only a few short weeks away and many American's will elect whom they believe to be the best leader, the one who can guide us, the one who is part of WE THE PEOPLE.

I am not saying who I think should be the president of our great nation, but WE THE PEOPLE have the power to select the one who will make a difference, the one who we can depend upon, lean on when times are not good, when WE THE PEOPLE are fed up, discouraged and angry.

American's have the POWER OF WE...
WE matter
WE count
WE speak

On Tuesday, November 6, 2012 show your POWER OF WE...be the power, the force, the voice that changes our nation.

Be a WE, because there is no I in team....

I've voted in every Presidential election since I tunred 18 and I plan to vote in this one. It's such a close election every vote will count!
