As a non-traditional college student and someone who is working on my BA in human resource
management, I am always searching for great books to help guide me toward my career path. The Art
of Work written by Jeff Goins is a great book for those looking for guidance when you feel lost on a
path to success.
The book is filled with excellent advice for discovering what you are really meant to do. Broken into
3 parts, Jeff Goins gives sage advice along with various quotes that motivate and encourage.
My favorite chapter is 'Why Failure is Your Friend'. I have always been taught it is okay to fail and you cannot succeed unless you fail. W.C. Fields said it best, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. There's no point in being a damn fool about it." How many times after we fail do we want to give up? Too many to count for myself, but The Art of Work A Proven Path to Discovering What You Were Meant to Do isn't a book about giving up, it's a book about what you are meant to do by not giving up.
